Return to the Forbidden Planet
By Bob Carlton |

|
-
"Return to the Forbidden Planet" has established itself as
something of a cult classic. First produced in the mid-80s, the show takes
its inspiration from two incongruous sources: Shakespeare's "The Tempest"
and the 1950's science fiction film "Forbidden Planet".
-
The crew of a routine survey flight find their spaceship
being drawn mysteriously to the planet D'Illyria, where mad scientist Doctor
Prospero and his lovely daughter Miranda are marooned. Yet it soon becomes
clear that something is gravely wrong on the planet...

|
- This energetic, light-hearted show
makes an excellent followup for RAYS to last year's award-nominated "High
School Musical".
